Joyce Blazen

In 1988, she was hired at the Urban League of Flint as a Job Developer for their Dislocated Worker (laid off due to closures and downsizing) program. In the six months she was an employee of the Urban League, she became known as the "Top Banana". This was because she placed the most clients on jobs of any job developer in the organization. She was recruited by Action Management Corporation in January of 1989 to become a Job Developer for their JTPA Dislocated Worker program. Again, she was extremely successful within a very short period of time. She was promoted to Senior Job Developer, and then in 1998, she was again promoted to Director of Career Transition. During her seventeen years in job development, Joyce estimates she has placed over 8000 clients on great-paying jobs and has started many on the career path of their dreams.

As Director of Career Transition, Joyce works with CEOs, Vice Presidents, and other executive level staff who have been downsized from their positions. She maintains excellent working relationships with all outplacement clients and works closely with them to ensure success.

Joyce is GCDF (Global Career Development Facilitator) certified.
